So many ways to fail and then WIN!

It was rather a negative start to the world of 3D printing but sizx months down the line and the old RepRapPro Mono Mendel has been an absolute workhorse.

 

Cooling fan falls off. Drops into print causing spaghetti

Y axis wont home. Y axis end-stop broken because fan fell off.

New spool of filament snaps. Printer continues printing ‘air’

Turns our new spool of  ABS had been overheated when it was shrink wrapped. Entire outer layer of filament is crud.

‘Print hot to get 1st layer to stick’ says the internet. After an hour of fails I turn 1st layer temps way way down. And it sticks.
